CUBICLE CURTAIN MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS AND PROCEDURES
Spot Free Services operates a drapery and cubicle curtain workroom. You have the option of choosing a fabric from our site or you can supply your own fabric and we will manufacture your drapes or curtains to your specification. The following price list shows the approximate cost of manufacturing various drapery styles and cubicle curtains. Please contact us for exact cost for our project.
CURTAIN CLEANING
1. ALL LAUNDRY WORK is DONE AT our COMMERICAL HEALTH CARE LAUNDRY OPERATED TO MEET OR EXCEED THE CDC REQUIREMENTS AND THE LAUNDRY PLANT BE BUILT AS PER THE AMERICAN INSITUTE OF ARCHITECTS GUIDELINES FOR A COMMERICAL HEALTH CARE LAUNDRY:
a. The laundry has physical barrier providing clean linen and a soiled linen separation. AIA requirement
b. The clean linen side has a positive air flow (preferable through a HEPA filter vent) and the soiled side has negative air flow. AIA requirement
c. The laundry workers have regular supervision during the wash, dry and storage cycle. CDC requirement
d. Laundry chemicals are dispensed through an automated system that ensure proper chemical mix and reduces possible chemical spill injuries. CDC requirement
e. Universal precautions are practiced during the loading of the soiled curtains into the washing machines, i.e. gloves and gowns are worn during the loading. CDC requirement
f. All clean cubicle curtains are placed in a clean laundry hamper lined with a clean plastic liner. All Cubicle curtains will be returned to the hospital individually labeled for hospital and size.
g. All curtains put into storage must be placed in a sealed waterproof bag (preferably recyclable).
